BUY A LEADING EDGE "LITTLE WOLF" CAMP STOVE, AND WE'LL THROW IN A BARBECUE FOR FREE! HOW CAN WE DO THAT? BECAUSE WE INVENTED A NEW STOVE THAT GIVES YOU BOTH.

The Little Wolf eStove represents a totally new proven portable wood pellet - biomass stove technology that produces its own gas for cooking and charcoal for Brazier barbecuing or broiling. When my boss at work (building roads for the 2010 Olympics in Whistler) watched me testing my stove by our RV's in Squamish BC, he said "I think you've got something there." I agreed and continued to develop the stove and a year later, I was ready to market this "little miracle." Gazing at the flame, my co-worker too couldn't believe that a stove could burn wood without smoke. When you have smoke, that is unburnt fuel. The Little Wolf Stove is extremely efficient and requires only a couple of hand-fulls of fuel where you would normally have to chop wood. It is the ideal camp stove. Little Wolf provides efficient cooking, barbecuing and emergency power. There are many types of gasifier stoves, but nothing like this. Most are experimental types that require more work, and are often complicated stacks of pails. Little Wolf eStove is a simple, compact, practical stove, but also a great barbecue, something the other stoves have missed.

This 2-in-1 stove means you will never run out of fuel because you can use fuel such as pellets, chips or sticks. Renewable fuel supports the environment and reduces waste. This Canadian West Coast manufactured stove leads the way in portable renewable energy stoves. The eStove is loaded with benefits you can't get in any other stove. It is capable of burning these renewable fuels almost as cleanly as a propane gas stove because it uses the latest gas conversion technology. It converts the solid fuel into two other fuels such as: 1) syngas, a synthetic gas fuel for all your cooking and 2) charcoal, a barbecue fuel; you just add some hardwood chunks or briquettes and you have a great barbecue/brazier. The way this stove works makes it ideal for dual functions. Get a Little Wolf stove today and never worry about fuel again.

Portability

Packaged in a stylish "Outbound" TM carrying bag that is tailor made for mobility, you can tote it anywhere. You can send it to disaster areas around the world and they can use a small amount of fuel rather than having to find and carry the normal amount of firewood. Many of the areas of the world where this stove proves its value, have already exhausted their supplies of firewood, and this stove comes as a welcome aid in providing cooking without the destruction of trees and shrubs, thus helping to prevent deforestation.

Emergency Survival Stove

This stove rocks! Solar powered eStove is perfect for emergencies anytime, anywhere in the world, is efficient and provides 12 volts for charging cell phones etc., something needed badly in emergency situations. Pellets, one of the main fuels, are cheap and can be stored or shipped for emergencies. The 2-in-1 concept is based on the natural conversion of wood fuel to charcoal, which means you have two ways to cook food. You can use just about anything that burns – potentially. You can use pellets, chips, and twigs, even dung. We encourage you to try different fuels.

Environmentally Friendly

This stove makes total sense to today’s environmentally conscious outdoors person too. Renewable energy and protection of the forest are two good reasons to burn biomass as fuel. Open fires often cause forest fires, and regulations are in place to prevent them. The Little Wolf eStove helps protect nature by containing the fire deep inside a double walled burner, preventing sparks from flying out and into the dry forest. The only waste product is a hand full of ash because the combustion is nearly 99% complete, depending on the fuel. So we invite you to vote for “Little Wolf” when you are deciding what products you are planning to use, sell or endorse.

How it Works

biomass

Fire is lit on TOP of the fuel. The first stage of the process begins when the fuel is lit at the top with e.g. shavings, chips or birch bark. Once you've mastered the lighting, the rest comes naturally. As the fuel burns it makes a special syngas mixture. This is mixed with preheated air supplied by the battery powered turbo unit located under the heat shield. This mixture is extremely combustible. The clean flame will provide all your cooking needs. Boil water, fry eggs, use a Wok ring to fast fry vegetables, do anything you can do on a gas stove. But there is one big difference. After the flame goes out, in about a half hour to an hour, you are ready to barbecue your favorite food! Add as many briquettes as you want or any other hard or soft wood pieces or pellets!

What about the BTU rating? How much heat does it produce? Most gas stoves are rated, is the Little Wolf stove? BTU Rating is fuel dependent, but it rivals or exceeds any standard camping gas stove on the market today. There is no need to get too technical with this subject as the heat produced depends on what you are burning. Pellets often are rated around 8000 BTU per pound, and a bag contains about 35 pounds, selling for around $7. That is almost 300,000 BTU's. The cost per bag is usually less than a cylinder of propane of comparable heat value. This will provide about 15-20 hours or more of burning time and you can extend that by adding dry sticks with the pellets. Try that with propane or butane, or any other fossile fuel! You would have to buy about 4 cans of non-renewable butane in bottles that are wasted, at a cost of $12 to equal the performance of one bag of renewable energy pellets that cost a little more than 1/2 of that, and you can still get bonus heat from the charcoal and any sticks or wood chunks you add. (For example, like those you can buy for barbecues to give your food that special flavor.) Little Wolf makes economic and environmental sense.

You can also burn just sticks but pellets are convenient and get the fire going nicely. You can expect to put in maximum 3 – 4 pounds of pellets, giving you 24,000 – 32,000 BTU’s per hour, as that is the approximate duration of the flame portion of the burn. That is about 3 times more heat per hour than you get out of standard propane or butane camp stoves. You will be still getting about a half hour of charcoal heat as well. Due to the high temperature of the flame, any smoke and carbon is completely incinerated. We all love fires, but we don’t like to breathe the smoke. This is a contained small campfire without the smoke, which you can use on a deck of a house, outside your RV, or even a boat. Wood chips or chunks not only provide heat but are used to generate smoke for flavor when barbecuing. It is a good idea to keep chips and shavings on hand; they come in handy starting the fire too.

Keeping the Fire Going

Adding Fuel – not too fast! A word of caution. This is not a conventional wood stove that is lit from under the fuel. You cannot simply dump more fuel in, as the flame must always be on top. Covering it up will smother the flame and you will have to relight. Just add a few pieces at a time until you get the hang of it. Be ready to restart the fire with some paper if it goes out when adding fuel. If the fire goes out, it is because the production of gas is disrupted and the temperature drops below the flash point, so just be aware of this and it will not be problem. Control of heat is accomplished by adding the desired amount of fuel, or voltage control which is an accessory.

Grilling

The charcoal flavor from grilling and the tenderness and smoky flavor from barbecue are achieved right here. Barbecuing takes longer than grilling or indirect grilling. When used without a lid, this stove functions as a Brazier barbecue, but of course you may use a lid of your choice. It does not come with a lid. A lid may be an accessory in the future so stay tuned.

Charcoal Phase of the Burn

After about a half hour to an hour depending on the amount of fuel used, the flames will die and the charcoal, barbecue phase begins. You can add a few briquettes if you want, to make it as hot as you need. The fan may be left on as it helps maintain temperature and allows you to add fuel if necessary.

Turbo Draft

Any stove, whether a gasifier or not, must have draft. This is achieved passively with a chimney, or a fan. A chimney is not available at this time, nor is it desirable in the present configuration. It is something we can offer in the future so you can use it as a tent stove. Instead this portable stove is turbo charged to supply air to burn the biomass and to combine with the Syngas for a clean burn. The stove has a fan powered by a rechargeable 2.3 Ah lead-acid battery that can be recharged with an inexpensive Coleman TM solar battery maintainer or the included charger. There is enough power to run the stove for several days without charging.

Biomass as Fuel Concept

We congratulate you on your decision to investigate Biomass as a fuel for outdoor cooking. The only thing different is the fuel and how it is lit, and the versatility. Try barbecuing on a gas stove, it might be a little difficult. The rest follows the safety rules of gas and charcoal cooking i.e. use extreme caution around stoves and barbecues and do not permit children to play around them or use the stove without close adult supervision. It may take a few trials to get used to this better way of cooking, but once you get the hang of it, you will not want to change back to propane or any other fuel. Your dealer will also stock pellets so like any other fuel, you can get this fuel. Plus, while there, you can check on updates and accessories. Warranty is one year parts and labor, but this is just a guideline – contact the company by email and we will look after you on an individual basis. After all isn’t it a company’s responsibility to go the extra mile when necessary? Now You’re “Cooking With Gas.”

Phase I - Flame Phase

Unless you have placed charcoal in the burner, using biomass such as wood will be producing a gas cooking flame. You can boil water, fry eggs, stir fry (get a stir fry ring for that) or cook as you would on a gas range. The cooking grate is designed to give maximum exhaust gas flow around the pots and pans for consistent air:gas ratio. Blocking the exhaust can cause smoke and/or a flame out because it disturbs the air-gas ratio. It is much like a car's carburetor. To save on weight, rather than building it from cast iron, sheet metal was used. It is a replaceable part. Your dealer will supply you with a new one if it is destroyed for any reason. Just bring the old one in for exchange.

Phase II - Barbecue

Barbecuing lies at the opposite end of the spectrum from grilling. It is a slower, indirect, lower-heat method that uses smoldering logs or charcoal and wood chunks to smoke-cook the food. Barbecue temperatures are usually between 200 and 300 degrees Fahrenheit. This lower heat generates some smoke, which gives barbecue its characteristic flavor. The heat source is often separate from the cooking chamber, which contains the actual food. You may use a lid to trap the heat, which will be useful with larger pieces of fish or meat. It is also perfect for cuts with lots of tough connective tissue, like brisket and spareribs. In fact barbecue was traditionally associated with less expensive cuts of meat used by the working class.
